October 1992, drummer SAM HERRMANN and guitar player PHIL BERTOZZI are working hard on the LAST PROPHECY genesis. One month later, guitar player DENIS YAN joined the band, followed by bass player PAT SCHAACK who quickly will be replaced by STEPHANE SAUVAGE. Finally, singer LUKE BERNARD came in the band.
End of November, studio work and recording of a 4 songs demo tape released in March 1993. After few concerts in Luxemburg and France, NICO BRAUN replaced SAM at the drum.
The band toured the whole 1994 year and shortly after got back at the ONE WORLD STUDIOS to release their first ever album « SHADOWS OF THE PAST », that came out on April the 22nd 1995.
LAST PROPHECY played some shows till October where they were support act for VULCAIN. Early November that year, guitar player DENIS YAN left the band for personal reasons.
The band then toured with four musicians only till the coming of ALAIN BLAZEJ in September 1996. They played a one more year tour till October 1997.
After three months of rest, they started to write new songs in January 1998. Unfortunately, PHILIPPE and LUKE decided to leave the band. The new singer then was GILLES PITON and the new guitar player came six months later: YANN KLIMEZYK. In October that year, LAST PROPHECY was again a five member band.
In March 1999, the new line-up gave his first show and a three songs demo tape came out in July that year. Shortly after, GILLES left the band in September. YANN, completely disappointed, left the band too.
After a two year break, LAST PROPHECY is back! As well as LUKE BERNARD and the new guitar player is MARCO SMACCHI. Shows are going on in 2003 and at the end of that year the writing work start again. But in January 2004, MARCO left the band feeling he was never comfortable with the other guys.
It took less than one month for LAST PROPHECY to find the new guy in business ! LORENZO RINALDI, talented six strings player battled hardly together with ALAIN. On the French best off compilation “FRENCH STEEL March 2004”, LAST PROPHECY is among side 16 other bands, 100% French, with the song «The Prince of Evil»
What’s left of 2004 will be a hard writing period time for the new album. The band is back in studio in January 2005 and released the «Destination Unknown » album in April. It was followed by a tour where the band played at the famous « Fête de la musique » and other important festivals that year.
Early 2006, … RIOT and Spirit Of 66 time ! LAST PROPHECY played at the 9th ROCK’n METAL edition in Fismes and played support act for RIOT at famous SPIRIT of 66 Belgian Club. After that show, the band started to work again for the third album.
Things didn’t went as it was expected and the band members got lazy and tired. After few shows in 2007, the band decided to play the Léo Ferré venue of Longwy in France to celebrate its 15th anniversary late in January 2008. That show brought energy back to the band.
Unfortunately, LUKE took ill and had more and more difficulties to sing. Doctors declared him throat troubles and damages on his vocal cords. Surgery was unavoidable. Future became suddenly darker again for the band as LORENZO RINALDI left the band. In the meanwhile LUKE didn’t recover well and its singing ability slowly disappear. It’s the start of a wilderness period for LAST PROPHECY that will remain silent for 7 years.
STEPHANE won’t give up! He kept the personal goal to give LAST PROPHECY a new born again. The story of LAST PROPHECY couldn’t stop there. In July 2015, he met LAURENT WALLACE HUNAERTS in a Metal festival in Belgium. He told him all about his feeling of “I’m still haven’t enough of LAST PROPHECY yet”. Seduced, WALLACE joined the band. The new guitar player is founded!
Completely motivated with that news, ALAIN BLAZEJ enrolled his former singer: DAVID LIGONNET.
Rehearsals and practices started again in fall 2015. The Genesis reborn!

FRENCH
C’est en octobre 92 que le batteur SAM HERRMANN et le guitariste PHIL BERTOZZI posent les bases de ce que deviendra LAST PROPHECY. Début novembre, le guitariste DENIS YAN intègre les rangs, suivi du bassiste PAT SCHAACK. Ce dernier sera remplacé rapidement par STEPHANE SAUVAGE. Enfin, le chanteur LUKE BERNARD complète la formation.
Le groupe entre en studio fin novembre et enregistre 4 titres qui sortiront en mars 93 sous forme de K7 démo. Après quelques concerts au Luxembourg et en France, NICO BRAUN remplace SAM à la batterie durant l’été.
Le groupe tourne inlassablement durant toute l’année 94 puis s’enferme à nouveau aux ONE WORLD STUDIOS en février 95 afin d’enregistrer son 1er album intitulé « SHADOWS OF THE PAST ». Celui-ci sortira officiellement le 22 avril.
LAST PROPHECY donnera une série de concerts jusqu’en octobre et assurera d’ailleurs la 1ère partie de VULCAIN en juin. C’est début novembre que DENIS YAN décide de quitter le groupe pour raisons personnelles.
Le groupe ne compte plus que 4 musiciens mais cela ne l’empêche pas de tourner jusqu'à l’arrivée d’ALAIN BLAZEJ en septembre 96. Les voici à nouveau sur la route afin de roder le nouvel arrivant avant de stopper les machines en octobre 97.
Après 3 mois de repos, ils se retrouvent début janvier 98 pour composer mais, fin avril, PHILIPPE annonce son départ suivi rapidement par LUKE. Le chanteur GILLES PITON rejoint le groupe dés le lendemain et le guitariste YANN KLIMEZYK six mois plus tard. En octobre, LAST PROPHECY est à nouveau au complet.
En mars 99, la nouvelle formation donne son 1er concert et une démo 3 titres sort en juillet de la même année. La joie sera de courte durée puisque GILLES quitte le groupe en septembre. La recherche d’un nouveau vocaliste n’est pas chose facile et YANN, découragé, décide de jeter l’éponge.
Après 2 ans de recherche (et de break forcé) LAST PROPHECY redémarre enfin ! LUKE BERNARD est revenu et le guitariste MARCO SMACCHI complète le line-up. Suivront quelques concerts en 2003 puis à la fin de cette même année, le travail de composition commence. En janvier 2004, c’est un nouveau coup dur pour le groupe : MARCO, n’ayant jamais réellement réussi à s’intégrer, décide à son tour de déserter. Le groupe perd son guitariste mais aussi son local de répétition.
Néanmoins, LAST PROPHECY est un groupe qui a toujours eu de la chance dans son malheur puisqu’il faudra moins d’un mois pour retrouver les deux éléments manquants. C’est désormais LORENZO RINALDI, talentueux six-cordiste qui battra le fer avec ALAIN. A noter alors, la sortie de la compilation FRENCH STEEL fin mars 2004, 16 groupes 100% français dont LAST PROPHECY avec le titre «The Prince of Evil»
Le reste de l’année 2004 servira à composer ce qui figurera sur le nouvel album. Le quintet entre en studio fin janvier 2005 et le disque sort en avril. Il s’intitule «Destination Unknown ». Il s’en suivra une série de dates dont la fête de la musique et quelques festivals jusqu'à la fin de l’année.
Début 2006, LAST PROPHECY se produit à la 9ème convention ROCK’n METAL de Fismes puis assure la 1ère partie de RIOT dans le légendaire club Belge, le SPIRIT of 66. Ce concert marque la fin de cette petite « tournée » puisque le groupe entame la composition du nouvel album dés le mois de mai.
Les choses trainent en longueur et une certaine lassitude s’installe au sein de la formation longovicienne. Après quelques apparitions scénique en 2007, le groupe décide d’investir, une fois de plus, la salle Léo Ferré de Longwy afin d’y célébrer son 15ème anniversaire fin janvier 2008. Ce concert est un succès et rend toute la motivation aux membres du groupe.
Malheureusement, le sort s’acharne et LUKE éprouve de grosses difficultés à chanter. Les médecins vont lui diagnostiquer des polypes aux cordes vocales. L’opération chirurgicale est inévitable L’avenir du groupe devenu très incertain, c’est LORENZO RINALDI qui met les voiles. LUKE ne retrouvera pas ses capacités vocales. C’est alors le début d’une longue traversée du désert pour LAST PROPHECY qui restera 7 ans en stand-by.
Toutefois, STEPHANE ne peut se résoudre à laisser tomber. Pendant toutes ces années il garde l’espoir de reformer le groupe. L’histoire ne peut s’achever ainsi pour LAST PROPHECY. Il est déterminé ! C’est en juillet 2015 qu’il rencontre le guitariste LAURENT HUNAERTS dans un festival Metal. Il lui confie alors son sentiment d’inachevé. LAURENT est emballé par l’idée de rejoindre le band. Le nouveau guitariste est trouvé !
Enthousiasmé par cette bonne nouvelle, ALAIN BLAZEJ débauche son ancien chanteur : DAVID LIGONNET.
Les répétitions commencent à l’automne. Un nouveau chapitre est en train de s‘écrire !
Malheureusement, le sort s'acharne. LAURENT rencontre de graves problèmes de santé qui l'obligent à quitter le groupe assez rapidement.
STEPHANE propose le poste à NELSON MAIA, chanteur et multi-instrumentiste de talent qui accepte de relever le challenge. Tout peut enfin repartir et tous les espoirs sont permis pour l'avenir.
Le groupe se penche sur la composition de nouveaux morceaux et la réalisation d'un nouvel album.
